  1. Denise – trying to find your blog on port removal ( mine is coming out Monday if I stay healthy!!) and they gave me zero instructions…. like I can eat, drink etc…. up till the procedure???

  2. FYI for Kristin ? Take Claritin the day before and for 3 days after the Nuelasta shoot. My Onc. told me to do this to prevent the bone pain. It totally works – and they don’t know why. Also, a few days after Chemo I ask my Onc for IV fluids that includse some steroids and anti-nausea meds with it. This will make you feel so much better. Even if you think you are drinking plenty of fluids.

Also, with the Red Devil and chest pain on the 2nd day after chemo – it turns out, that for me, it was very VERY intense indigestion or acid (I really thoiught it was my heart). I now take a Pepcid everyday and I haven’t had it again.

Also – Whine as much as you want! Chemo is awful. Take care of yourself, put yourself first, and as Denise told me, tell your Oncologist everything, and be assertive with your concerns.

    Many Blessings.
